SSB appoints head of Hong Kong equity research

Salomon Smith Barney (SSB) has announced the appointment of Eric Chan as a director and head of Hong Kong equity research. Chan will report to Otto Wong, managing director and head of Asia equity research. Chan joins the bank from Davnet, an international broadband telecom carrier, where he had been Asian CEO since 1999, controlling the company's operations in Hong Kong and Singapore.
