Deutsche appoints Paul as Asia global markets chief
Deutsche Bank has announced the appointment of Jonathan Paul as chairman of global markets for the Asia Pacific region. As well as retaining his day-to-day responsibilities as head of global market sales for Asia Pacific, Paul will also take on a broader senior client-facing role in helping to drive the bank's business initiatives across Japan, Australia and non-Japan Asia.
One of his first tasks in his new post will be to convene a regional management committee with the goal of establishing strategy for the global markets group in the region.
The committee will be made up of local heads of global markets, including recently appointed head of Asia global markets, Boon-Chye Loh, Eiji Nakai, head of global markets in Tokyo, and Chum Darvall, head of global markets Australia and New Zealand.
