Steains nabs two

Deutsche Bank continues to build its M&A presence.

Tony Steains looked to his old firm, ING Barings, for one of his two new hires last week. The head of Deutsche Bank’s M&A division has picked off Ian Macleod from Barings to focus on the transport and infrastructure sector.

Likewise Chris Ip from Morgan Stanley started last week, and will focus on the FIG sector.

Steains, who is a managing director, now has an M&A team that consists of one director and four vice-presidents. Steains enjoyed great success at ING Barings and is hoping to replicate it at Deutsche, which he joined at the end of last year.
