SSB continues regional equity hires

Salomon Smith Barney has announced the appointment of Nels R. Friets as a managing director and head of equities in Singapore. The appointment follows from SSB's mid-October appointment of two new faces to its Indian equities business in Hong Kong and New York.Friets joins SSB from Credit Lyonnais Securities Asia (Singapore), where he was managing director in charge of its Singapore/Malaysia operations.
