JPM adds to Indian research team

Two new hires in Bombay.

JPMorgan has announced two new additions to its Indian equity research team.

S. Venkatesh will be responsible for covering basic materials as well as the oil, gas and petrochemicals sectors. He was previously with Deutsche, where he was a top ranked metal and mining analyst.

"Venkatesh brings a wealth of experience to the team as well as strong relationships with our premier client base," says Jose Linares, JPMorgan's head of Asia ex-Japan equity research.

Vijay Chugh also joins the Indian research team an analyst for the consumer sector. In addition he will also assist JPM's Indian telecom and auto analyst, Prabhat Awasthi. Prior to this, Chugh was part of the Indian research team at Morgan Stanley.
