ING appoint Brett Williams to Singapore research post

The Dutch bank names Williams vice president, debt market research.

Brett Williams will join the ING financial markets team in Singapore as vice president, debt market research. The move is effective from 19 April and Williams will report to Tim Condon, head of financial markets research, Asia.

Before heading to ING, Williams worked for three years with Credit Suisse First Boston as vice president, credit risk management, where he was involved in providing research information and transactions for the bank. In this role, Williams was also responsible for the analysis and ratings assignment for a portfolio of Asian financial institutions that extended over 17 countries and 250 companies.

Williams has also been employed by Thomas Financial BankWatch Asia and as a bank analyst for Capital intelligence, both in Hong Kong.

"Williams brings to the role an in-depth understanding of financial institutions in Asia, the regulatory environments in which they operate and the risks they face," Condon says about ING's new hire. "His experience will enable ING to continue to provide our clients with insightful research and profitable investment recommendations in this important sector."
