Goldman Sachs makes new appointment to economics team
Jonathan Anderson leaves the IMF and chilly Moscow to take up a post with the economics team at Goldman Sachs.
Goldman Sachs has announced the appointment of Jonathan Anderson to its Asia Pacific economics team as an executive director. Anderson joins the bank from the International Monetary Fund (IMF), where he had been the resident representative in its Moscow office since 1998.
Prior to that, he acted in a similar role in the IMF's Beijing office from 1996 to 1998. He has also been a teaching fellow at People's University of China in Beijing between 1990 and 1991.
Based in Hong Kong, Anderson will work closely with Greater China economist & strategist Fred Hu to broaden the firm's economic coverage of this region.
