Chan heads economics team at UBS Warburg

Vincent Chan has joined UBS Warburg as head of Hong Kong economics and China economics and strategy. He will report to both Arup Raha, chief economist for Asia and Michael Oertli, head of research, Asia.

Before joining the Bank, Chan was with HSBC Securities as China research director. Earlier, he did research work for utility and power sectors for the Bank.

"We are delighted at Vincent’s return to UBS Warburg," says Oertli. "His appointment illustrates the Bank’s strong commitment to China and Hong Kong. He will work closely with the head of China research, Joe Zhang and his team."

Additionally, Tina Huang will join UBS Warburg, Beijing. Her role is to give support to Chan. She was previously a senior news analyst at the Beijing bureau of Reuters, a news agency.
