BANK OF KOREA NAMES PARK CHEUL DEPUTY GOVERNOR
SEOUL, July 24 Asia Pulse - The Bank of Korea Saturday named Assistant Govenor Park Cheul, 54, as Deputy Governor. It also appointed Lee Sung-il, head of the bank's 50th anniversary project team, as assistant governor.
A graduate of Seoul National University, Deputy Governor Park served as the central bank's Secretary General, London Representative Office chief and director of the Monetary Policy Department before appointed assistant governor in 1998.
